Through such computer analysis, API can do many 'what-if' scenarios, without building expensive and time-consuming prototypes. In fact, these programs allow them to view things that are impossible to see in the physical world. For example, model a wire and then actually look inside the wire and see how the current is distributed at a certain frequency. The ability to view things otherwise unseen greatly expands their understanding of the physical processes involved. With computer simulation they can visually examine how an audio cable works, and from that determine what makes a good cable and what might be the limitations of particular design approaches.

Analysis Plus Solo Crystal Oval 8

Analysis Plus Big Silver Oval

AP's premier silver cable has been improved by going from a 12 gauge to a 9 gauge cable. A more elongated oval geometry also offers better performance.

This cable is very fast and detailed but without the harshness often associated with silver cables. Doubled in conductor size from the previous Silver Oval, it now has greater punch and presence in the low end, with the incredible mid and highs that people have come to love in the Silver Oval.

Analysis Plus Digital Oval

For digital signals, proper impedance and termination are necessary to prevent reflections within the cable. The uniqute Analysis Plus hollow oval design, coupled with excellent connectors, provides a well-structured signal path, and maximizes bandwidth. A separate shield, attached with 360 degree contact, keeps undesired electromagnetic and radio frequency out of the digital signal path. Analysis Plus Power Oval 2 Power Cord

Designed by computer simulation, AP's patented hollow oval design provides a low inductance power cord without having to use stiff and bulky cable.

A super low noise voltage reduces the background noise to a minimum. This is extremely important during quiet passages if you want to hear subtle details. Transient noise voltages in power distribution systems are produced by sudden changes in current demand. A low impedance transmission line design, such as that used by the Analysis Plus Power Oval power cable, minimizes this noise.

The current-carrying conductors are then surrounded with a shield to prevent the pick-up of high frequency noise. Quality Wattgate connectors are used in this design. Optional ultra-high grade Wattgate connectors available at extra cost.
